Designed by Studio Lotus and GPL Design Studio, this community centre at the Godrej Trees project in Mumbai has seamlessly transformed its historical industrial legacy into something new.

Called The Imagine Studio, the remanants of the old existing factory structures have been respectfully conserved and restored, their forms resonating through the interior spaces as well. Materials like brass, wood and Corten steel have been purposefully used as they speak of the age of the building. Objects found on-site and repurposed preserve the soul of the place, effortlessly taking this legacy into the modern era.
