Ayaz Basrai and his team from The Busride Studio design a brand new outlet for a new Mocha sub-brand called The Mocha Arthouse which promotes cutting edge, contemporary arts in various forms. There is lots of white space with a lot of underplayed eccentricity arising from the mind space meant to encourage people to view art differently - not as a static entity hung on a wall, but rather enjoyed like the unrestrained freedom experienced by a graffiti artist painting the entire Arthouse. The location in Mumbai included old mills, derelict structures, warehouses etc, so the team incorporated roofing sheets and metal I-beams, along with junk from cars to create all the functions of the space, including the kitchen and false ceilings, to set a scalable language with future utility in mind.
