No wonder that when they were designing a restaurant in Kolkata, instead of opting for the now-popular chic look, they went for the rustic appeal. Tiffin is a 2,000 sqft dhaba-style restaurant.
The restaurant has an industrial look, exposed truss ceiling, hanging bulbs, brick exposed walls and everything else that runs on an individual’s mind during the office lunch time. It is an easy to locate and walk-in eatery to cater to the everyday office crowd that turns into a dhaba at night.
Tiffin is built on a format that can be duplicated within its other outlets in the city. It is a low-cost and an innovative space with vibrant looks, which appeal to all age groups and at all times; lunch or dinner.
The candy-crushed tiffin wall is the highlight of the entire space stimulating the colour-buds and the taste buds of the customers. The exterior of the building is left unpainted and depicts the artistic impression of people still constructing and painting the facade is another unique architectural feature.
Spaces and Design has created a diverse portfolio in residential, commercial and lifestyle interiors and architecture. The firm has designed around 1,60,000 sq.ft. area and counting. It is not limited to the city of Kolkata but has executed projects in cities such as Bangalore, Pune and Odisha as well.
