When architect Kunal Shah first saw this apartment, the shell was completely messy with numerous partition walls and an uneven level difference. It took a lot of conscious planning and creativity to bring about a refreshing makeover. The walls of the house are white and save for the master bedroom, the flooring of the house is in Spanish beige marble. Such an arrangement naturally afforded a wide canvas for experimentation with accessories and furniture. Shah’s idea was to blur the boundaries between furniture and art. The cigar chair in the living room and the bar counter which is hand painted and topped with a bronze mirror are functional and accessorise as well. These unique statement pieces are in a pleasant contrast to the simple and minimal frame of the house.
