Design concepts centred around breezy, clean lines and ingenious application of material, dramatically translate a mere apartment into a luxurious home. Sprawling over 5000 sq. ft. of built up area and 2500 sq. ft. of terrace space, the Doshi residence in Juhu, Mumbai, is a wondrous mingling of indoors with outdoors; especially so, since the apartment is located in a very busy part of Juhu. The interior does likewise, starting from the heavy, intricate beauty of the veneer woven door with its bold, steel nameplate. Luxury is exactly what the clients spelled out in their concise brief to Nina as they insisted on the Stautiro marble flooring throughout the house and granted her carte blanche on the project.
