Conceptualised as a sample flat for a leading urban builder, this residential interior design project undertaken by Mohak Mehta, partner at Pinakin Patel Associates, presents an inspirational space for a young working couple that is in the market for a contemporary, sophisticated and functional home that complements their upwardly mobile lifestyle.
Since the flat area was small, the client’s brief was to render it more spacious and keep minimalist detailing for a contemporary look and instantly welcoming feel. The designers had to work within a specific budget and accommodate luxury interior décor elements and furnishings in this amount. So they mixed and matched local designer products with international brands and experimented with stylistic makeovers that break the mould of over the edge modern design, to combine mostly practical and some quirky elements in the design scheme and material choices too.
