The Anil Kishen residence, designed by Form & Space Architects, exudes elegance from every corner. The luxurious home is filled with the goodness of sunlight-filled green spaces, and a spectacular terrace pool.
“This project is an example of what is possible when our designers are given some room to play with,” states the team from Hyderabad–based Form & Space Architects. Comfort, privacy and opulence were the order of the day and this residence delivers on all fronts.
Right from the entrance, care has been taken to include greenery and vibrancy at every level. “Since this project gave us more scope for vertical space, we decided to have the pool on the terrace and utilise the empty space around the house for a wonderful garden with nooks and corners to sit-out at,” the team explains. The garden swathe in fact represents the project’s most remarkable visual aspect, of natural and potted greenery existing in beautiful harmony with elegant interiors that are flushed with sunlight as well as warm illumination from the lamps. The terrace pool, on the other hand, sits at the centre of a floor cover that mixes different tiles and stone slabs featuring beautiful natural detailing. Generous views of the city, however, are the primary attractions of this space.
The location demanded privacy from the main road, while maintaining the feel of openness and space. Simple metal screens and rafters did the job with elegance, lending a new look as well as blocking any direct sight into the property. The interiors were designed to be highly functional, again stemming from the fact that there are various levels within the house and they needed to be seamlessly integrated in appearance as well as accessibility.
