With an idealistic approach, to make the luxurious and beautiful designs affordable to not only the wealthy, but to all, Bhumi design + studio has developed an apartment in ‘Lodha Priva', a prime location in Mumbai, India. The combination of Pinewood and White used in the interiors with complementing pastel colours given to the walls enhance its overall look.
Within the space constraints of Mumbai apartments, refurbishing a house becomes an issue that has to be tackled efficiently. A messy space can never harbour positive energy; hence efficient space management is the key to creating perfect ambience.
With the help of multifunctional furniture, Bhumi design + studio has created and alluring living room space. The centre table in the living room is no longer an obstruction when not in use as it can be easily tucked in side-table. The worship room is separated from the living room with the help of a ‘movable divider’ designed in a way that it can act as a library unit too.
Focus has been given to enhancing the entire ambience of the apartment with the addition of planters on the shelves. Planters help in making living rooms look impressive and breathe fresh life into the house.
The space has been uplifted by the combination of Wood white with one pastel colour, in this case twilight-blue. The client being a supreme traveller, walls are decorated with frames of maps across the globe. The dining space made up of Solid wood dining table and a bench is illuminated with magnificent ‘Industrial Lights’.
With a viewpoint of providing maximum storage and keeping it elegant at the same time, a ‘podium bed’ has been created in the bedroom. The bed, having a pinewood platform, adds up to the warmth of the space. Keeping the pastel colour theme in mind master bedroom has been painted in the shade Aquamarine Green.
The apartment has been designed in a synchronized manner by incorporating pastels colours, Pinewood furniture and Industrial lights.
